Hi, I'm Stefano Lenzi
Voice Teacher, Singer, Composer, Producer and founder of Voice Training Music.
I’ve been a voice student and a singer for almost forty years and I have been professionally teaching voice classes such as Jazz, Pop, Musical Theatre and contemporary styles in general since 1996.
I believe that teaching is a form of art and so is practicing.
Vocal training, like any other musical instrument learning, is much more effective when it is also a musically inspiring experience.
With this in mind, through years of trial and error with the invaluable help of my students, mentors and colleagues, I have developed a set of specific tools and put them together under the concept of Voice Training Music. (VTM)
Voice Training Music is mainly two things:
1) Songs for the Voice
A collection of short songs (in various contemporary styles) with progressive and thematic features. A preparatory repertoire that helps you gradually exercise your voice in a musical and flexible manner.
In the footsteps of legendary G.Concone, G.Seidler, H.Panofka and, above all, N.Vaccaj (like Vaccaj, we have lyrics), Songs for the Voice has been conceived with the same educational criteria of its renowned predecessors but more in tune with the needs of the contemporary singer.
2) Exercises for the Voice
An always evolving collection of foundational singing exercises that are harmonized in a modern and musically stimulating way. Even when you’re practicing very basic exercises, you’ll be constantly immersed in the music, through interesting harmonies and fun, diversified rhythms.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Voice Training Music, by design, doesn’t directly deal with any issue related to the mechanics of singing. I strongly believe that only a highly qualified teacher, through dedicated one-on-one sessions can instruct and explain vocal technique. Consequently, VTM is not to be considered a voice course under any perspective. Nevertheless, it can be a life changer to any contemporary singer.
